March Madness!!

It's been a while since my last post as March has definitely been a crazy month.   There have been trade shows to attend every weekend and tomorrow is the Quota Club Spring Craft Sale.    Here are some of the projects I have been working on for the Craft Sale:

This composition note book is covered with DSP from Sale-a-bration called Everyday Enchantment.    This is my all time favourite DSP so far.   The colours used here are peach parfait, soft suede, pool party and very vanilla.   I used my new favourite stamp set/punch combination to make the flowers.    The stamp set is called Mixed Bunch and the punch is called Blossom.    The flower was stamped with soft suede onto peach parfait.   The butterflies are very vanilla cut using the Big Shot and the Beautiful Wings die then they were embossed using the polka dot embossing folder.   Soft suede was sponged around the edges of the butterflies and over top as well to make the dots pop.   Embellishments used are glimmer brads and basic pearls.  Notes was cut out from soft suede card stock using the Big Shot and the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet dies.   The frames were cut from pool party and very vanilla using the labels collection framelits.

This mini notebook is also covered in DSP from the Everyday Enchantment pack.   The colours used here are pool party and lucky limeade.    The bird and flowers are stamped from the Language of Friendship stamp set and punched out with the bird builder and boho blossoms punches.   I always double up the flowers and distress the edges to make them nice and full.   Of course, the flowers wouldn't be complete until the basic pearls have been added.    The edges of the DSP were sponged with soft suede to give the notebook a little distressed appearance.

I hope you liked this weeks projects.    Check back in next week for the Stylin' Stampin' Squad April Blog Hop.   The hop will run on Thursday, April 5th.      After that I will be posting our projects for April's clubs.

I received some good news recently.   I will be joining the Splitcoaststampers Creative Crew for the May - August term.   Being part of the Crew means coming up with at least four projects per month to meet the various challenges presented.    Wow - this is really going to put my creativity to the test!!   Make sure to check in to see how I'm doing!

Thanks for stopping by.   Have a great weekend.

  1. Very nice, especially the bird book with the pen attached to the side. Is that a special holder? How did you do that?
